The Women's Interfaith Institute in the Berkshires


Our affiliate organization in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts, founded in 1992.  We share a common mission statement and logo, but are incorporated separately and have separate boards of directors.

North American Interfaith Network (NAIN)


"Building Bridges of Interfaith Understanding, Cooperation and Service"

NAIN is an association of organizations which provides information, meetings, and services related to world religions, spiritual exploration, and interfaith issues.  The Women's Interfaith Institute is a member of NAIN.  

NAIN holds annual summer meetings-- NAINConnect. NAINConnect 2012 was held in Atlanta.  NAINConnect 2013 will be held in Toronto from August 11th-13th.  The theme is "In Diversity is Our Strength."  


Council for the Parliament of World Religions


"Bringing people of faith together for a better world."

The Council holds international Parliaments every five years. The 2009 gathering was held in Melbourne, Australia.  (Dr. Allison Stokes represented the Women's Interfaith Institute there and also at the Parliament in Cape Town, South Africa in 1999.)

Interfaith Youth Core


Founded by Eboo Patel, the IFYC brings together college students of different religious and moral traditions for cooperative service and dialogue around shared values.

Resource Center for Women & Ministry in the South


"Weaving feminism & spirituality into a vision of justice for the world."

The Center "began in 1977 to support and connect women who understood their lives and work as ministry. Over the years, [it has] expanded to include a wide variety of programs and resources on feminism, faith, creativity, spirituality, and justice."

International Association of Women Ministers


The organization promotes, encourages and celebrates women in Christian ministry, and provide a forum in which women ministers from all races, nations, and cultures can come together.  IAWM publishes "The Woman's Pulpit" quarterly.

Women’s Institute for Leadership and Learning


The Women’s Institute for Leadership and Learning (WILL) was formed in 2008 as a direct outcome of the first biennial Seneca Falls Dialogues - a forum for continuing the social analysis begun by Elizabeth Cady Stanton in 1848 in Seneca Falls.
